Rangelands NRM

Regional Capacity Services

Challenge

Regional Capacity Services provides the governance, planning and delivery framework that supports Rangelands NRM’s federally funded natural resource management projects.

Through this project, Rangelands NRM maintains the systems, skills and structures needed to plan, manage, report and improve project delivery across the rangelands. It supports strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder and Indigenous engagement, monitoring and evaluation, workforce capability, communications and continuous improvement.

Solution

Rangelands NRM delivers Regional Capacity Services to support high-quality, accountable and adaptive project delivery across its regional programs. The project provides the backbone for effective natural resource management delivery by strengthening governance, planning, reporting, communications and continuous improvement systems.

This includes maintaining regional planning processes, project risk and WHS systems, stakeholder engagement approaches, Indigenous participation planning, MERI planning, workforce development, communications planning and evidence-based reporting.

Impact

The project improves the quality, consistency and accountability of natural resource management delivery across the Rangelands region. It helps ensure projects are well planned, risks are managed, partners are engaged, outcomes are monitored, and communities, funders and stakeholders can see the value of investment in land, water, biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.

Outcome

Regional Capacity Services strengthens Rangelands NRM’s ability to deliver coordinated, accountable and outcomes-focused projects across the rangelands. It provides the planning tools, governance systems, reporting structures and communications processes needed to support effective project delivery
